WORLD AID WALK POSTPONEMENT:
NEW DATE: SATURDAY 12th SEPTEMBER
START TIME: 2pm for full and 3pm for half distance
We are saddened to announce that we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 World Aid Walk because of the current threat of the COVID-19 pandemic to the Bailiwick. It’s incredibly important to us that we keep our walkers and volunteers safe, and follow Public Health advice on social distancing, so although this is incredibly disappointing, we know that it is the right decision to make at this time.
2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the World Aid Walk, so we were keen to reschedule the event, which will now take place in Guernsey at 2pm on 12th September 2020. We know that the money raised by the World Aid Walk makes a real difference to the lives of some of the world’s poorest people, so we hope that the Bailiwick can support the event on the new date of 12th September.
Those who have already registered should have received an email saying that they will be transferred to the new date or can request a refund. Thank you for your understanding and support. Registrations for the new date are open now. Please visit visit www.worldaidwalk.org.gg to register and for more information about the walks in Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney.
World Aid Walk 50th Year Anniversary
The 2020 World Aid Walk – Saturday 12th September 2020
The World Aid Walk is a fantastic annual walk and fundraising event that takes place on the islands of Guernsey and Herm.
This year is particularly special as it is the 50th year of the World Aid Walk.
The Walk aims to raise as much money as possible to help tackle poverty in some of the poorest countries in the world. Our beneficiary charities work with some of the poorest families and communities in many different ways to help them to rise from poverty.
