How to Enter

The World Aid Walk for 2017 has now been completed. We will let you know when registration for 2018 is open.

Pre-register and you'll save £5 off the adult entry fee and children (under 16) can enter for free! Register online until 4pm on Sunday 30th April 2017 (8pm for Herm - see Herm page for more details) Pre-registration is encouraged in the hope that our walkers will pledge as much money as possible by asking sponsors for their donation commitment before the day of the Walk. You can pre-register online until the day before the Walk. The entry fee is £10 per adult, and we are delighted to be able to keep this event free for children and young people under 16. We are always amply repaid for this approach by your amazing efforts to raise sponsorship. If you would like to make a donation straight away, there is an optional box on the registration page. CLICK ON THE GUERNSEY OR HERM BUTTON ON THE RIGHT TO REGISTER ONLINE You will be sent the following emails – immediate confirmation with your unique Walker Number, a payment receipt if applicable, and a further email with a link to your personal online fundraising page, which you can have fun making personal to you. In the first email, there will be a link to a sponsorship form for you to print out, should you wish to collect sponsorship in cash from family and friends.  Please print out a sponsorship form, write your name and Walker Number on it in the space provided, and bring it with you on the day of the Walk, as it will help you pick up your pin-on number more quickly on the day.  Even if you haven’t collected any sponsorship money using it, it will be stamped and be ready for you to pick up at the end of the Walk, so that you have proof of completing the event. Please note that the sponsorship form is not available to download from the website.  If you haven’t got one, please contact us – see below or the Contact Us page. The postal entry form is available to download here for those who wish to register by post with a paper copy.  You will be sent emails in the same way as if you had registered online.  If you don’t have an email address, let us know on the form and we will post you a sponsorship form and your unique Walker Number. Your unique Walker Number should be quoted on all correspondence and paying-in slips. SUPPORT Race-Nation are providing us with our fabulous online registration service.  Hopefully everything about your registration will be smooth.  However, if you need some help or if you don’t receive your emails, please check your junk/spam and then get in touch: 1) Contact Race-Nation on http://support.race-nation.com/  – for registration or payment assistance or http://support.race-nation.com/article/13-i-have-entered-but-have-had-no-emails-or-any-confirmation – if no emails received or https://www.race-nation.com/contact-us-jersey/ if you want to ask them a question not covered on their support page. 2) Use the Contact Us tab on our website homepage www.worldaidwalk.org.gg 3) Try our email waw@cwgsy.net. 4) Guernsey enquiries : Christine tel 01481 259995 or christineguernsey2014@gmail.com 5) Herm enquiries : Lesley – 01481 711382 6) Sark enquiries : no Sark walk this year
Late Entry People wishing to register as a late entry walker can do so on the day of the Walk at the late entry table in the Inner Street, Market Square, from 8am. The 2017 Late Entry Form can be filled in at home, and brought to the late entry table. Blank forms will also be available on the day. This year a late entry fee of £15 per adult and £1 per child will be charged and late entry walkers should note that no Walker Number will be issued without payment of the fee. All walkers require a Walker Number on the day of the Walk, including adults accompanying children in school year 5 and below. This is for insurance purposes and not for sponsorship reasons. In order to encourage our late entry walkers to collect sponsorship monies after the Walk, we will make the fee reclaimable if late entry walkers raise more than the fee paid. Please be prepared for queues, as last year nearly 250 people registered on the day. If you can register online beforehand, please do! You can do this by clicking the green buttons on the right of this page. So, check the weather forecast, fish out your sunscreen and hats (we hope!), and we'll see you there!
