guernsey walk

The 2024 World Aid Walk is a 20km walk around the beautiful North-West coast of Guernsey.

The walk starts at Rovers Athletic Club, Port Soif and heads north towards L’Ancresse.

There is also the option of a half distance walk starting at Pembroke.

The full route (20km)

The Guernsey route starts from Rovers Athletic Club, Port Soif. It takes the path along the west coast to the first checkpoint at Rousse. From there you follow the coastal path and head through the grounds of the Vale Church and then onwards along the main road to L’Ancresse. Marshals will be on hand to make sure you cross the road safely. From L’Ancresse, the route loops past the Beach House towards the second checkpoint at Pembroke (by the bus stop opposite the golf club). This is also the start point for the half distance route. Walkers then follow the coastal path round Chouet headland, past Amarreurs and back towards the Rousse checkpoint and onwards to the finish line at Rovers.

Half distance route (10km)

Guernsey Walker Information

For insurance purposes, all walkers must have a unique walker number.

You should receive this in the email confirming your registration. Please make a note of it as you will need this when you register at the start tables on the day in order to collect your pin-on walker number.

We would encourage all walkers to ask as many sponsors as possible to pledge money for your efforts.

People can also donate to the charities benefiting from the Walk here. Donate here.

Once you have registered, you will be emailed a link to your personal online fundraising page where you can collect sponsorship from your family, friends and colleagues.

You can also print out a sponsorship form from the email you’ll receive once you’ve registered. Please write your name and walker number on the paper sponsorship form, and hand in any money you have collected when you collect your walker number on the day.

Remember to pick up your sponsorship form after the walk if you still have more money to collect in. Arrangements for payment of sponsorship money after the Walk are detailed on the form.

Please note that the sponsorship form is not available to download from the website. Please check for a link in the email confirming your registration.
